A Podcast Family

Podcast Family

A podcast family is a place to call home. In this case, it’s one of the best things about working with the amazing DC Comics News Podcast team. On a weekly basis, we rely on camaraderie. Podcasting requires practice, vulnerability, and a little courage. That’s where family comes in.

Meet the family

DC Comics News has a weekly podcast and more. For the most part, every week the host and co-hosts discuss movies, television and streaming, and comic book news. Above all, a podcast family is a community. One that stretches across the internet and the country. In this case, one of the DC Comics News staff even records from the United Kingdom.

To begin with, curiosity seekers can meet the family by visiting the DC Comics News Podcast Network. It’s streaming on platforms everywhere. I Am The Night and Mad Love are episode-based shows. One follows the exploits of Batman: The Animated Series and the other, Harley Quinn. Meanwhile, The Spinner Rack features the top five books from DC Comics, every week.

I Am The Night #62: BTAS 2×03 – "Trial" DC Comics News Podcast Network

Welcome to another episode of I AM THE NIGHT, a podcast dedicated to breaking down every episode of Batman: The Animated Series. Each week, the wonderful Steve J Ray (reviewer at DC Comics News, as well as Editor-in-Chief of our sister site Dark Knight News) and a guest will sit down and dive cowl first into an episode of the greatest animated series of all time. In this episode, Steve is joined by fellow DCN and DKN writer, and his son, Adam Ray to talk about the 3rd episode of season two of Batman: TAS, entitled "Trial". So sit back, put on your cape and cowl, and prepare yourself for a journey into the darkness! Episode Synopsis: Gotham's new DA, Janet Van Dorn, is out to capture Batman, but both she and him end up captured by some of Batman's main enemies instead. They are soon put on a kangaroo trial by the Joker (the judge), Two-Face (the prosecutor), the Ventriloquist (the bailiff), Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, the Mad Hatter, Killer Croc, the Scarecrow, and the Riddler (the jury), in front of other criminals held at Arkham. If the defense (Batman and the D.A.) can prove that Batman is not the cause for everyone's turn to crime, they will be set free. When the jury gives the verdict of 'not guilty', the villains have little intention of following through on their deal… Steve J Ray: http://www.twitter.com/el_steevo Adam Ray: http://www.twitter.com/IzzetTinkerer "I Am The Night" Theme by David B. Expanding the Family

In addition to podcasts, DC Comics News also branched out its programming. In the first place, DCN After Dark stars editorial writer Kelly Gains and her co-host, Tony. Together with bold opinions, they offer an unfiltered discussion. For the most part, topics range from DC Comics to movies, and even culinary adventures. Likewise, the video format lets Kelly and Tony show and tell everything that is on their minds.
